The media cluster promoted by the Urban Development Agency (ADT-ATO) with the support of Europe is based on a partnership approach in which ties are forged between a series of actors, especially businesses.

The Municipality of Schaerbeek and RTBF and VRT are partners in the media cluster project work, as joint owners of the urban project alongside the Region. Together with ADT-ATO, they will therefore ensure the necessary interaction between the media cluster and the development of the urban project. They will do so mainly in two ways: firstly, by integrating the media players’ identified needs into urban planning; and secondly, by temporarily creating indoor or outdoor venues to host organisations and by holding events promoting the cluster.

Other partnerships still need to be built with regional institutional bodies, as well as with private stakeholders and businesses in the Reyers district, to ensure the successful development of this integrated strategy of support for the media sector. Examples of such potential partners include Screen Brussels, Actiris, Bruxelles Formation, the Haute Ecole Libre de Bruxelles, a university college whose media section is already based in the RTBF buildings, RTL Belgium whose headquarters are next to the RTBF-VRT site, the Creative District platform for young entrepreneurs in the creative industry and media players currently present on Boulevard Reyers.
